Patient coordinators:  Meet with pregnant women and discuss their options with them.
Learn ‘n earn teachers:  Meet with clients teach parenting skills according to a curriculum.

Baby room coordinators: Sort maternity and baby clothes and display them seasonally, check donated supplies such as car seats to make sure they can be used by clients. Laundry as required

Maintenance: Landscape or center needs.

Information Technology: Maintaining PCC website, data entry, filing, general office work.

Volunteers who have contact with patients or donors will be required to sign a Statement of Faith.
Material supplies needed: Clothes for children up to 2 years old, baby furniture, diapers, maternity clothes. Monetary donations

Update for 2011 at the Centers

Posted By on February 10, 2011

Dear Supporters of the Pregnancy Care Centers of the North Willamette Valley,

The end of January we sent this letter to our supporters who donated monetarily to the Pregnancy Care Centers.  We would like to share it with all of you now.

With the enclosed receipt for the donations you have lovingly and willingly made to the Pregnancy Care Centers in 2010, the board and staff want to share with you some of the things that are and will be happening at the centers in 2011 because of your faithfulness in prayer and giving and because of God’s faithfulness to this ministry.

CANBY CENTER:  On January the center reopened its doors following the extensive remodel for the medical conversion.  It is now running “full speed ahead.”  Keep checking our website at www.pccnwv.org for an upcoming open house.

MEDICAL INSURANCE:  Again, because you answered the call and gave abundantly at the year’s end, we are now assured that we have the funds to pay our entire insurance policy for 2011, which includes the medical.  What a blessing!  God has so abundantly supplied through all of you!  Thank you so much.

MEDICAL PROGRAM:  Putting a new program in place always seems to take longer than one wishes, but we continue to pray for guidance and are taking each step as scheduled with staff and volunteer training, implementation of volunteer nurses, ultrasound testing, and finally offering ultrasound to our clients.

STAFFING:  Volunteer positions are being streamlined this year in order to open up more opportunities for people to become involved “hands on” and also to operate the centers more efficiently.  Look at our next article on our website to see the available new volunteer opportunities; we are praying that many of you will come forward to partner with us.

The vision and mission of the Pregnancy Care Centers remain the same even though change continues.  Our hope is to always give “a cup of water” in Jesus’ name to all who walk through our doors.  We covet your prayers and support this year as we follow the leading of our great CEO, the Lord Jesus Christ.

2010 Year-End Letter

Posted By on December 8, 2010

December 2010

Dear Supporters of the Pregnancy Care Centers,

Another year is almost over and much has happened at the Pregnancy Care Centers of the North Willamette Valley.   Probably our most exciting news for 2010 is that, hopefully by the time you receive this letter, our Canby Center’s remodel to become ADA compliant will be complete, and we will have reopened with the ability to offer ultrasounds to our clients in addition to all the other services we offer!

We are so thankful to all the individuals and businesses who have made this a reality.  Many have donated materials for the remodel, while others have donated time.  It definitely has been a community effort, and we have been humbled by the outpouring of love, prayers and support from wonderful people like yourselves.  Thank you, thank you, thank you.  And most of all, we bow before our Almighty and Awesome God who has led us step by step in this project — from an almost wishful vision a few years back that someday we would be able to “go medical” and perform ultrasounds, to the donation of an ultrasound machine, to funding to make sure we could pay the bills for a remodel, to now seeing the vision become a reality.  WOW!!!  Who would have thought that this could happen in small communities like Canby and Molalla?  Well, God did!  In Jeremiah 29:11, the Lord says,   “ I know the plans I have for you, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”  He has had those plans for the Pregnancy Care Centers for quite some time, it seems.  As Isaiah 55:11 states about His word , it “will not return to me (God) empty but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.”  We, as mere humans, do not understand the entirety of God’s purposes, but we don’t need to….we simply need to obey Him as He directs each step.  So we are eagerly looking forward to 2011 to experience God’s purposes for this ministry.

We hope our excitement is contagious and you will “catch it” and partner with us at the end of this year and into 2011 so that we are able to do that which God has called us to do.  In Matthew 9:37,  Jesus said to his disciples,  “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few.  Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.”  This is the place that the PCCs constantly find themselves—so few workers and so little finances to accomplish so much.  How can you partner with us?  We always need volunteers, especially since our medical conversion.  There are many specific slots that need to be filled, so the choices are abundant.  Please call our centers to find out how you might serve.  And of course, our finances are almost always low.  Specifically since our conversion to medical, our insurance rates have skyrocketed and it becomes even more difficult to meet our financial obligations. In Oregon, at this time, everyone seems to be feeling the crunch of the economic downturn.  Churches and other non-profits are all struggling to survive, and we are no different.  Please lift us up in prayer and if you can, remember this small local ministry with your financial assistance.

God bless you all this Christmas season.  We rejoice greatly for the abundant blessings that God bestows on us, especially the gift of His Son, our Lord Jesus Christ.

In Him,

Gail Emmons
